Cost: $100 for the Two-Day (Six Hour) Workshop
For more info email: workshops@nexmap.org

This two-evening intensive is especially designed for beginners who have no or very little experience with Max. The class will demystify the Max software and eliminating the fear of the "blank patch," providing participants with practical skills for continued learning Max well after the workshop has finished. Students will be given the opportunity to both sharpen their Max patching skills and incorporate their creations into their existing creative workflow. The workshop will cover the different components of the Max programming environment (What is Max?), navigating through the Max documentation (How do I find the answer to my problem?), and an introduction to the following:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to design and build their own patches as well as feel comfortable with understanding, modifying, and re-appropriating pre-existing patches. Participants are required to bring their own laptops with the latest version of Max 5 installed (http://www.cycling74.com/downloads). Registered attendees who do not have a Max 5 license can download the application and use the 30 day demo included with the installation.
